Dr. Raul Buso, founder of EDGE Animal Hospital, began his veterinary career early on when he began interning in 2002 at a local St. Pete veterinary clinic, Haines Road Animal Hospital. Once graduating from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Buso began work as a full-time associate and would eventually buy the local hospital from his mentor and then owner. As the practice grew beyond its neighborhood, Dr. Buso understood that St. Petersburg was growing into one of the most dynamic, pet-friendly city centers in Florida and wanted to bring the same quality of medicine to the growing population of pets in the downtown area.

Dr. Buso is a local of St. Petersburg and has a dog named Baxter and two cats, Shakespeare and Mira. He enjoys sports and the many restaurants “The Burg” has to offer.
